The Emer Casey Foundation’s relationship with Matheson Solicitors extends back to 10 years ago when Emer died from ovarian/uterine cancer at the age of 28. Emer was then a young solicitor working at Matheson, Ormsby, Prentice under the close guidance of her mentor, Paraic Madigan, who is a trustee of the Emer Casey Foundation. Matheson has supported the Emer Casey Foundation since its establishment through its annual Christmas Carol Concert and the provision of legal services, without charge, when required. The Emer Casey Foundation receives most of its funding from donations from the public or through fundraising events but it has received modest donations in the form of sponsorship from the Matheson Foundation to support our annual 10k run. The Emer Casey Foundation is not currently in receipt of funding from the Matheson Foundation. We look forward to continuing our work, in partnership with Matheson, in order to improve the lives of women diagnosed with ovarian/uterine cancer.
