World Ovarian Cancer Day is held every year on 8th May. It brings research and advocacy groups from all over the world together on one day to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and spread a message of hope for the future fight against this disease. This year multiple organisations working in the ovarian cancer arena in Ireland have come together to offer a series of events around 8th May. The Emer Casey Foundation is delighted to be joining with our colleagues in OvaCare, SOCK, the Marie Keating Foundation, Breakthrough Cancer Research, Trinity College Dublin, the Karen Fenton Fund, the Irish Cancer Society, the Irish Society of Gynaecological Oncology and GynaeCancerCare, St. James’s Hospital to promote World Ovarian Cancer Day. Free public events will be taking place in Dublin, Cork and Limerick and everyone is encouraged to attend and participate. See our posters below for details of the events. Also keep an eye on some of our most iconic public buildings such as the Convention Centre, Dublin and Cork City Hall which will be turning teal for the day. We hope to see you on 8th May!
