World Ovarian Cancer Day – Ireland steps up!

World Ovarian Cancer Day is held every year on 8th May.  It brings research and advocacy groups from all over the world together on one day to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and spread a message of hope for the future fight against this disease. As in recent years, multiple organisations working in the ovarian cancer arena in Ireland have come together to offer a series of events on 8th May.  The Emer Casey Foundation is delighted to be joining with our colleagues in Ovacare, SOCK, the Marie Keating Foundation, Breakthrough Cancer Research, Trinity College Dublin, the Karen Fenton Fund, the Irish Cancer Society, the Irish Society of Gynaecological Oncology, GynaeCancerCare at St. James’ Hospital to promote World Ovarian Cancer Day.

Free public events will take place in Dublin, Cork and Galway (Ballinasloe) and everyone is welcome to to attend and participate.  See the information posters below for details of the events.

Also keep an eye out for some of our most iconic public buildings which will be lighting up in teal on the evening of 8th May!
